Special Issue Information

Structural mechanics is one of the important fields of engineering. The main objective of structural mechanics research is to ensure that structures are safe and durable enough to avoid catastrophic situations that can lead to loss of life, environmental pollution, and property damage. Depending on the use of the structure and the conditions it is exposed to, it needs special treatment during the analysis. In particular, marine structures are exposed to harsh environmental conditions due to the marine environment, which can cause several different damage mechanisms, including fatigue and corrosion damage. This special issue on "Advances in Offshore Structures" considers a wide range of areas related to offshore structures.
